James “Deuce” Johnson played in all but three games and started four times for Louisiana Tech in 2010-11, averaging 1.7 points and 1.5 rebounds in about 7 minutes per game for Coach Kerry Rupp, who was fired.

Johnson played last season at Central Wyoming College in Riverton for new Coach Curtis Condie, a former Louisiana Tech assistant... Johnson scored 51 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the first two games of this season... he played his high school ball for Campbell Hall in North Hollywood where he averaged 14.5 points and 8.4 rebounds as a senior... he was a two-time All-CIF selection and his teams won two state championships.

“Deuce provides our program with a strong inside presence,” said Coach Andy Newman.  “The combination of his unique ability to score around the rim and his relentless motor make him a tremendous asset. Deuce can also stretch the defense with his ability to knock down perimeter jump shots.”
